Crafts and fix-ups.

Springtime is cleaning time, where everyone finally gets to all the little tasks they've been putting off.

The side of our fridge was becoming one giant mess of a wall covered in coupons that we got through the mail or off the internet. To organize it better, I invented and created this cute coupon holder to clip all of my coupons onto! Yay!

Once that task was completed, and the coupons organized, it was on to another thing I've been putting off for...oh...about a year.

Missy completely chewed through the strings on one set of blinds in our front room. The blinds were pretty old and nasty anyway (as is most of our apartment) so we didn't really do much about it. Unfortunately, as time went on, the blinds fell more and more apart, until finally we basically had a gaping hole into our kitchen. No privacy at all!

Here are some photos of said blinds:

Here is the best I could get them to look...held together with tape, pipe cleaners and knots. We couldn't pull them up all the way to let in light either, because they were just too mangled.

Again, a look at them held together with various methods. You may be thinking, "That doesn't look so bad!"
But just wait.

Here is what they looked like once I got all the tape and stuff off.

Yep! This is what we were living like! The whole world could look right into our kitchen!
Needless to say, it was time to fix the blinds. We went to Home Depot, bought a new set and installed them ourselves. The new ones hang INSIDE the window frame so it's much harder for Missy to tug on them or push through them. So far so good! We love FINALLY having the privacy of blinds that work!!

Leave me a comment! I like that! Only not if you are a troller. Unless you are a trolololololler, then that is ok.
